- Select a Sims game (2-4)
- Select a difficulty
- Select a starting generation (you may play the generations in any order)
- Create your founder and select your legacy lot (remember, you will play the same lot for the duration of the challenge)
- Start playing!

Easy Mode[]
- All cheats allowed

- May move into occupied lots or merge your sims family with another, wealthier family.
- Play ten generations
Normal Mode[]
- Money cheats allowed
- May start on a premade lot
- May move into occupied lots or merge your sims family with another, wealthier family.
- Sims 3: You may not use Dragon Valley dragons
- Play ten generations using an alphabetical naming scheme. The legacy founder's name will start with A, their children (heirs and spares) will be named in alphabetical order. The heir's children will continue the naming scheme. The goal will be to finish the alphabet.
- Example: Founder A has children Heir B and Spares C and D. Heir B has children E and F, and so on.
Hard Mode[]
- No cheats allowed (except for starting cash or to handle game bugs)
- Start on empty lot
- Starting cash 1,200 Simoleons
- You cannot merge your sims family with another or move into an occupied lot.
- Sims that join your family can not bring any cash or inventory items.
- Sims 3: You may not use Dragon Valley dragons
- Play 26 generations using an alphabetical naming scheme for the founder and heirs. For now, use the r/random generation to reach 26.
